The following report explores how that leadership structure in an Egyptian village setting may be understood. First, the formal governmental organization network at the village level is described and an analysis of how a particular village participates in that organizational structure is presented. Next, a methodology is introduced to extract specific village personnel who serve as legitimate authority figures in the
