The objective of the hydrological component of the Western Cape System Analysis (WCSA) is to provide flow series at alternative impoundment or diversion sites along rivers in the Western Cape. These flow series are required for yield analyses relating to present and future land use development scenarios and water demands. This report discusses the various tasks undertaken for the catchment modelling of the Palmiet Basin. These include the preparation of relevant data, the modelling procedure that was used and the presentation of results in the form of flow series.
