Experiments have been conducted to study the effect of drip irrigation parameters on the movement of water and salt in the trickle wetted soil volume. The study indicated that for maintaining low salt concentration and reducing vertical movement of water from the top 60 cm soil depth, daily application of water with lower application rate must be preferred over the higher rate with 1-day and 2-days irrigation intervals. Pulsed technique of water application helped in storing greater amount of water within 0-60 cm depth compared to the continuous application.
